Sometimes we pick up way too much about what other people think or feel – and all of this can be quite overwhelming…
I live in New York now, and if I wouldn’t have learned to cope with my emotions and to respect my own feelings – I would have never survived a DAY in this city!
So here are a few steps for you to take, to live a happier life…
acknowledge that you are an empath and that you are able to feel the emotions of everyone around you.
When your mood changes quickly, chances are that these are not your own emotions, but emotions of other people around you… acknowledge this and learn to filter what truly comes from you – and what comes from somebody else…
learn to control this ability.
Learn to decipher whether what you feel are your own emotions or if they are from other people around you.
You are ABLE to feel others but to do this day and night would truly KILL you – or at least stop you from existing individually – and you would live someones’ elses’ life.
in other words: passively.
Learn to “hear” your own voice and your heart.
focus on you – be self-ish, not self-less!!! and I don’t mean ego-istic – but: ever heard of: if you don’t love yourself, no one will?!? There is a reason for it. Not everybody is like you – and people out there will not always wonder how you are and what you are doing… so… the most important person in the room and around you is you. Again: FOCUS ON YOU
Once you have learned to listen to yourself, you can take control of what you feel and decide for yourself if you want to focus on you or the people/person around you.
When you are happy, you don’t need others to make you happy…
You will feel your own happiness – and CAREFUL – this happiness is contagious :*
Live from the heart, stop to “worry” about others, only then can you start to care for others as well
